In my opinion, the differences between temperatures of ext in-out & int in-out greatly depend on differences of air flow speed (exchanger effectiveness) and as discussed, defrost utilisation. When I locked the drainage, enthalpy exchanger has increased effectiveness by around 1-2 degrees.

BTW, after todays reboot of raspbi, I've noticed that percentage speed of fans has changed. Both fans are 5% off from each other. I know I my unit is configured to get overpressure at home but that has significantly changed. So far I've been getting equal percetage and slightly different RPMs (screenshot from 03 Jan):

And from now on, different percentage and completely different RPMs... (screenshot from today, 05 Jan):
Contrôler sa VMC StorkAir / ComfoAir / zehnder via sa domotique

And after todays testing of Prolific based converter I know that issue is software based (unless there's something different in my WHR950 unit protocol). I can't get CCEase to work along with CGI/internal server.py. I'm going to install Wheezy and see how it goes...

Have you noticed that the speed indicated in the first image is 2 and 3 in the second, that would explain the difference in fan speed.

Percentage is a configuration value (that is set when the system is installed and can be changed from the front panel), it indicate the "percent" of fan speed for a ventilation speed (1,2,3 or 4). As such it should only change when the speed of the VMC unit is changed.

The rpm is a measure of the fan speed, which is dynamic and thus can change very slighly.

Yes, I'd noticed that. What I meant is before percentage was equal on both sides, i.e. 35% and 35%, 50% and 50% and so on. Now is 35% and 40%, 50% and 55%.
I haven't touched service menu and that's why I'm surprised

It happened yesterday, look at plot of fan speed and percentage of setpoint:

I have never plotted the percentage being a fixed value, as far as my software is concerned it reads a frame from the VMC and converts the data therein to a value according to the conversion formula, invalid frames are detected from a checksum appended to the frame, in order to see if the soft is responsible of these hiccups I would need to be provided with the frame from the VMC causing the unexpected values, in order to analyze the contents, frames using an escape mechanism that could screw up the binary internal representation. I thought it had been properly dealt with but who knows an exceptional case is always possible. Wheezy VS Jessie, there should not be any differences between them.

Could there be an internal algorithm that changes the speed according to some other condition ???

As far as I know, my unit is set to produce a small overpressure at home. That was in line with fans speed (same percentage and slightly different fans RPMs). The mystery is why and how suddenly percentage has changed.

And the second thing, I've just reinstalled your package and after reboot, filter working hours got zeroed. Maybe WHR950 has slightly different communication protocol?
So, for a time being the plan is to get a new SD card and install Wheezy...

Do you want to get content of VMClog or pure frame in HEX?

I can confirm that the speeds changes with the internal algorithm of Storkair.
over time you can deduce some recuring paterns in the graph.
for example, when the T° lowers around 0°, the speed can vary a lot...

To me, that 5% offset isn't an issue. It could be a part of unit's logic.
Maybe tomorrow I'll install Wheezy to see difference in unit operation.

sebcbien fibaro VD gets an update every 10 mins, and Fhem VMC timeouts also every 10 min.

When you provide information, could you also provide where it comes from ?

FHEM ?
Fibaro ?
VLClog.log ?

From the history of your install, I kind of lost track of all the mods and changes that were done, which also does not help in fault finding.

All I can say is that my two installations do not seem to missbehave like yours seem to do. And the other users do not report such troubles (but not reporting does not mean that they have no problems

Nevertheless, the log shown say timeout waiting for response to and then the frame sent to the VMC. Which indicates that no answer is received from the server.
Either because the server has its queue mechanism buggered up or because there are no response received from the VMC, what does the VMClog.log say (it should log the incoming request and the response from the VMC).

I am currently using a PI with FHEM running, a comfosense continuously sending frame requests to the VMC, every now and again a web client, and a KNX client (every 5 minutes), so far all responses are received from the VMC, the Comfosense has been running since 2 weeks now without noticable glitches or drop out in the clients.

Thus as far as I can load the system, the queue mechanism behave as expected. I cannot reproduce the errors that your system generates, thus it's difficult to find where does your problems come from.

You can install from scratch a new wheezy and see if the problems happen again, if it's the case, the problem could be hardware related.

FYI, at that time, CCEase comm. was disabled (no socat command).
Initially, my installation run in problems due to customised ports numbers and typos in VMC.ini file done by installation script. And now it seems like queue does suffer some mishandling of data.
If I get a new SD card today, I'll install Wheezy and test operation of the entire system.

Hi again,

I've just installed Wheezy for the second time and unfortunately, it doesn't work. I mean it's exactly as same as on Jessie - server.py is kind of in "ceased" mode while communicating with CCEase.
I'd installed the package in the same way as scyrille did and described in post.

Because CCEase is live when connected, over raspbpi, with VMC cabling must be ok. I can control VMC but delay is about of 5 sec.

CGI based page doesn't work, same as on Jessie. To cut a long story short, it seems like server.py can't handle frames sent by CCEase. I have no idea why...

Can you get a response from the cgi using

http://address_pi/cgi-bin/VMCbinjson.cgi

From a web browser ?

The log you sent is only showing frames from the CCEASE at a 2 requests per second rate.

You get a response from a client.py that takes about 5 seconds to finish, which is normal when using a CCEASE (given that the CCEASE saturates the channel).

If the web page does not come back at all, that generally means the CGI is somehow not executed. To prove this try the above direct call, if it does not come back with the json reply, then we need to look into the cgi mechanism.

For a time being I can paste 5 sec. interval of VMClog.log:

More likely I won't manage to play around with raspbpi (Jessie SD card is back on) but tomorrow I will test CGI...

So, once again. Reply from browser:

I've noticed that CCEase is more responsive, I mean it does change i.e. speed almost instantly. Difference is that in Wheezy FHEM isn't installed... Anyway I'm really confused. Everything works except CGI for VMC*.html. That's what I get:
Contrôler sa VMC StorkAir / ComfoAir / zehnder via sa domotique

Sorry for the delay, I'm a bit overloaded at the moment.

I can see that it does 3 to 4 requests every minutes now, so it is faster. At first look I see only Confosense request, but if you get a response to the web call of the cgi, the cgi client requests are processed.

Regarding the CGI, you get a response from your web browser, which means that the javascript in the HTML page should also get it, and consequently display the page.

Question, are all javascript libraries installed, I suppose so if you used the install script.

Second, I sometimes notice that some browsers did not like the code (browser are somehow touched regarding javascript and HTML 5), have you tried with different browser ?
